This Director position will be responsible for day-to-day operation of our Individual & Family Membership Administration function. Membership Administration is a shared service within Health Plan operations providing centralized support for all Kaiser Permanente regions across the country.

Membership Administration is responsible for all aspects of service to effectuate and maintain member coverage as well as all associated premium billing and payment. The Director will have accountability to drive a high performing service culture that is focused on achieving an effortless experience for our members. Operational oversight includes leadership of on-shore and off-shore resources and development of critical internal partnerships for both Off-Exchange and On-Exchange distribution channels.

Accountability includes achievement of turnaround time and quality service levels, budget planning and performance, identifying and driving process improvement opportunities, ensuring strong solution controls and regulatory compliance of operations, shared service value creation, staff development and employee satisfaction, service culture development, and contributing to strategic planning for production operations.Essential Functions: Leads management team to establish strategic plans and objectives for the function; may assist with developing some cross-functional oriented objectives. Has overall control of planning, staffing, budgeting, managing expense priorities, performance requirements, and recommending and implementing changes to methods.

Influences the development and execution of functional and KP-wide policies and long-term goals. Participates in development of methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for projects, programs, and people.Basic Qualifications:Experience Minimum ten (10) years of experience in a claims processing environment or other related environment, with seven (7) years of management experience.

Education Bachelor's degree in business administration OR four (4) year of experience in a directly related field.Additional Requirements: Experience in managing large groups of employees in a collaborative work team environment required. Must be able to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment.
